    2.     FastPencil

The FastPencil writing and publishing service enables authors to create eBooks online, collaborate, publish and distribute from one engaging, simple, cost-effective solution.

FastPencil has several self-publishing packages, including options that offer a combination of both print and e-book publishing. If you just want to submit your eBook then you can just utilise their eBook publishing.

FastPencil is based on a system where you cut and paste your word doc into a template for formatting. They also have the option where you can upload a formatted, print-ready PDF.

FastPencil currently charges an upfront fee of $149 for its basic e-publishing package that includes distribution of your eBook to a broad network. This package does not include any design assistance so you will need to import your own cover image.

FastPencil will distribute your eBook to: Apple's iBookstore, Barnes & Noble's eBookstore, the Kindle Store and Sony.

If you wish to convert your own eBook to their format you can use an independent and free conversion software tool such as Mobipocket eBook Creator or Calibre.
