Auto-responders - Help Automate Your eBook Marketing Efforts

Autoresponders are powerful tools for busy eBook authors. As an author, you are more likely wanting to spend your time on writing so you will want to automate as much of your marketing campaign as possible. And this is where autoresponders come into it.

Autoresponders give you the power to build relationships with your customers. You can write all your emails and responses as well as e-courses postings up front and then program your autoresponders to deliver these messages to your subscribers on specific dates. It's designed to be completely automated. They can also be part of an autoresponder sequence, delivered so many days, weeks or months after the initial sign-up. This will also help you to build brand loyalty (your author name, eBook series titles etc) without having to speak to your subscribers personally.

    1. Surveys

You can use your autoresponders to survey your subscribers with the goal of receiving beneficial information that will help you build a relationship with them and even write your next eBook giving consideration to their wants, needs and desires.

    2. Newsletters

I started using an autoresponder when I launched my first tennis newsletter for my first website back in 2004. Ever since, it has been an invaluable communication and sales tool. Newsletters are generally more formal than a regular email. I have set-up my autoresponder so that it can either send newsletters immediately or where they will be delivered on a specific date.

    3. Emails

You will once again use the method of “personalising your emails.” This is done by the software using the subscriber's first name in the email. You can send out emails with updates about your new eBook, additional chapters, where you may be performing an upcoming speech and so on.

    Example Autoresponders:

    1. aWeber

    2. GetResponse
